Difference between HIT and CLICK

HIT: Outdated useless measurement parameter from log file-analysis times.Counts every single element downloaded from a web server to display a given page. Eg: every image, stylesheet, script etc.

A hit is the count of requests for each individual resource, so bringing up that page in your browser would give 4 hits - 1 for the page (.html), and one for each of the pictures (.jpg, .gif, .png)

The site stats would also record that as 1 visit.

CLICK: No common definition, usually used in conjunction with media elements like banners or ads. Counts clicks on these elements, often called clicked-through s.
